Chicago Fire Fighters Run for the Kids 5k
     
  Event Details:  
 

Race Course: The course will begin on Museum Campus Drive; heading north around the Museum; then loop back on the harbor walk; finishing at the Post Race Party.  

  • Course USATF Certified
  • Split times @ one mile, two and Finish Line
  • Water stations at start, 1.5 mile and finish
  • No in-line skates, bicycles or dogs
  • All runners with strollers must start after and remain behind the runners

Awards - Awards for designated CARA age groups can be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports Tent after the Race. Awards will NOT be mailed after the event. You must pick your award up after the run at the Fleet Feet Tent.

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place male and female in 5 year increments.
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place male and female Overall.
  • 1st Place Masters male and female.

Race Results - Results will be posted at the Fleet Feet Sports Tent after the Race. You may visit www.mychicagoathlete.com or www.CARARuns.org to see your results.

Kids' Dash
- For children under the age of 12. A loop course will be staged in the following age groups: ~ 2 - 4 yrs. ~ 5 - 7yrs. ~ 8 - 11yrs.  Each participant receives an award.
Parking -
The Waldron Parking Deck - Exit Lake Shore Drive at 18th Street.

Gear Check - You may store your non-valuable items at the gear check tent from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Please secure the gear check tag to your bag. WE ARE NOT responsible for any lost or stolen items.
